Leah Hayes; born and raised in Greensburg KY, has been a member of Steadfast since August 2004. What started as a short fill in turned into joining the Steadfast team as one of the lead vocalist and it has become one of the best ministries that she has ever been a part of. Steadfast has taught Leah many things about how to be a Christian leader and has allowed her to see God work in many ways.
Leah is a 2007 graduate of Green County High School and currently attends Campbellsville University pursuing bachelor’s degree in Social Work. After graduation Leah plans on returning to school to receive a master’s degree in both Social Work and Special Education.
When not at school, Leah is employed as an Impact Assistant at The Adanta Group, and is also the music teacher at Kentucky Christian Academy. In addition, Leah also gives private voice lessons; her students range in age from 6 years to adult and they participate in 3 recitals a year to showcase their many talents. Although Leah loves all that she does, her favorite days of the week are Monday and Friday when she gets to babysit and spend the day with her two year old cousin Jada. Jada is often referred to by Leah as the highlight of her life. The time that she gets to spend with her is priceless.
Another aspect of Leah’s life that she thoroughly enjoys is teaching the 13-16 year old boys and girls at her church youth program. Aside from Wednesday night, her class is very active by taking many trips and participating in a summer program that includes fun activities and service projects.
Although Leah is very busy with Steadfast, school, work, and church she still finds time to spend time with friends and family. Going to ballgames, watching Disney movies, cooking Rachael Ray meals, playing volleyball, star gazing during the summer, and watching UK dominate the basketball court are just a few things that make Leah smile on a daily basis. Leah tries to never take for granted all that God has given her, and above all she considers herself very blessed.
